Naberius is a demon, he is a Marquis of hell and thus not a normal demon but a Powerful demon and most likely a player in the grand scheme.
He woke up after hundreds of years being stuck in a body and no option to get out of it. After archeologists openend the cave he was in they broke an ancient Demon trap and he took a new body.
Apparently he speaks in a raspy voice and knows and manipulates to take dignity and honor from his subjects.
